Managed Views
Increase efficiency, minimize risk, and maintain security. You can do all three in less than a minute, guaranteed! By giving your Panther5 users the ability to do things like cycle servers, manage logs and other basic functions you will give them the ability to safely do the tasks they need done while freeing you from those mundane responsibilities yet introducing no risk to the system. Here’s how...

  1. Log into Panther5 with an account that has the “Manage Interface Views” privilege

  2. Click the “Interfaces” control in the Domain Explorer

  3. Click on the “Manage Views” link located in the bottom right corner of the “Interfaces” view.

  4. In the “View Management” window that opens, click the “Add” button

  5. Name your new view by typing a name in the “View Name” text field.

  6. Click on an available interface in the left hand window then click the single right arrow between the windows to add it to your new view.

  7. Once all the interfaces you want have been added click the “Users” tab to assign users access to this custom view.

  8. You can specify the users you would like to give access to this custom view by checking the box next to each name. (You can easily give all users access to this custom view by using the “Check All” button at the bottom of the users window.)

  9. Once you’ve selected the users for this custom view click the “Apply” button at the bottom right to save your custom view.

  10. Now click the “OK” button to complete and close the “View Management” window.

  11. Select your view from the “Current View” dropdown menu at the bottom of the Interfaces window to display only the Interfaces in your new view.
